It was an amazing week at Dwell on Design 2013! This annual week-long event, curated by the editors of Dwell magazine, showcases the most innovative and sustainable ideas in modern design, art and architecture. This year's show was by far the best we've seen and we were thrilled to be a part of it again. It also takes place in our own hometown of Los Angeles! How lucky is that?
Below: Our new Sculptural Habitat Collection was unveiled at Dwell on Design. The Bee Bungalow, The Bird Cafe and the Bird Bungalow were all on display in the spectacular Dwell Outdoor space designed by Sausalito-based Shades of Green Landscape Architecture and installed by FormLA Landscaping.
Below: We were honored to have our sculptural habitats and trellises debut alongside the stunning meadows, grasses and plants from famed landscape visionary John Greenlee.

Below: Our Gracie Modern Arbor supports flowering Solanum Jasminoides (Potato Vine in the west!) surrounded by lovely mini meadows of salvia and blue fescues courtesy of Shades of Green Landscape Architecture. We think this aubergine Gracie Modern Arbor had a little fling with the cool Airstream trailer as they nuzzled up during Dwell on Design!
And thank you to the following blogs for the trade-show love!

The entire TerraTrellis collection was on exhibit at this year's Dwell On Design conference in Los Angeles. Dwell on Design is the West Coast’s largest design event, curated by the editors of Dwell Magazine. This amazing three-day celebration brought together the best and brightest products, art, furniture, structures, ideas and thinkers in modern design today. Over 25,000 visitors including designers, architects, editors, bloggers, artists, design lovers and gardeners came out to experience this design event. We so enjoyed meeting thousands of you!
The centerpiece for Dwell Outdoor included a walk-through tunnel of six white Gracie Modern Arbors
We are grateful to Shades of Green Landscape Architecture for their amazing installation using our sculptural arbors. Ive Haugeland and Jen Mullin of the Sausalito-based firm designed a truly imaginative green centerpiece for the entire Dwell Outdoor space. Constructed by landscape contractors at FormLA, the composition integrated six Gracie Modern Arbors with luscious Monrovia grape vines woven throughout. This created a series of minimalist-yet-lush tunnels criss-crossing the Dwell outdoor space. Ive and Jen's installation became the garden destination for the conference - it was at once stunning and modern yet welcoming.
Large brands and small studios alike presented thousands of inspiring modern works and products at Dwell on Design this year. We were thrilled to see our friends from Potted debut their City Planter - so simple, architectural and lovely.
We are also grateful to the innovative designers and design bloggers who took to their cameras and computers to write about our studio, many choosing TerraTrellis as among the best new products and favorites at the show. Please read after the jump to see what our supporters are up to!
