Dancing with butterflies: Terra Trellis in Natural History Museum exhibit
Hundreds of brightly colored butterflies flutter all around, looping through the air and alighting on inviting plants and flowers inside the Butterfly Pavilion at the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History. People of all ages and walks of life are equally fascinated (and captivated) as they wander through the recurring and immersive exhibit—which now houses four of our arbors and trellises!
Sunset in Sonoma: a magical test garden takes roots
Imagine walking through a tunnel of vine-draped arbors dripping with cherry tomatoes, surrounded by hues of purple and white echinacea, all while breathing in the intoxicating fragrance of flowering basil, lavender and French thyme. Sunset Magazine has created this sensory experience inside their new immersive test gardens.

Like fashion, gardens are now transitioning from their vibrant summer looks into the more muted tones of the fall season. Our summer was loaded with horticultural and design inspiration, bursting with color and texture from diverse landscapes coast to coast. Below is a photo journal of some magical summer moments; a mashup of images from private potager gardens, to island farms to spectacular public spaces.

It's artichoke season on California.
During a photoshoot for our new Sculptural Wildlife Habitats (Bee Bungalow, Birdy Bungalow and Birdy Cafe -blog post to come!) we stumbled upon a gorgeous un-staged scene in our edible garden studio that took our breath away. It involved a fruiting artichoke, a bougainvillea 'Orange King' an Akoris Garden Tuteur Sr. in Berry color and a Mira Garden Trellis Sr. in Aubergine color.
